About Us

HOW CCCS/BH IS FUNDED

As a non-profit 501(c)(3) agency, we receive a portion from education programs, community support, program fees, housing grants, and funding from local and national creditors who participate in the Debt Management Plans (DMP). Since creditors have a financial interest in getting paid, most are willing to make a contribution to help fund our agency. These voluntary contributions are usually calculated as a percentage of the payments you, the client, make through your DMP and range from 0 to 15% of each payment received.

However, your accounts with all your creditors are always credited with 100% of the amount you pay through us and CCCS/BH works with all your creditors regardless of whether they contribute to our agency.

As a United Way agency in Rapid City, Sturgis and Pierre, we receive additional community funding for our agency through United Way of the Black Hills, and United Way of Pierre/Fort Pierre

COMMITTMENT TO A CONTINUOUS QUALITY IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM

We would like to share some of our ongoing findings with you.

  1. Our latest surveys show a 98% satisfaction rate with our services.
  2. 100% of you would recommend our services to others.
  3. There were too many answers to what you best liked about being on the debt management program but the number one answer was only having one payment to make.
  4. While the majority of you (75%) answered that no changes were necessary to improve our services – we took heed of the most requested improvement of being able to access accounts on-line. This has been in the works for a year but it is now available through our accounts processing center.
  5. 95% of you find our fees fair.
  6. The following are a few of the things that we have done to improve services this year. We have worked on our computer systems for improving speed, we have replaced the copier to a very fast model, both to reduce your time spent. We have made improvements to the building for your comfort, and replaced our outside signs to make it easier for you to find us. Because you request them, we continue to offer evening appointments. We also have continued to grow our educational efforts and offer effective programs for your convenience, as well as bringing on new educational tools. See the class schedule we are in the process of updating now.
  7. For our debt management clients, results show that if you forward your creditor statements to us each month you will reduce by over 50% any problems with creditors and that is why we instituted a prize to be given at intervals, drawn from the names of those of you who get their statements sent in.
  8. You might be interested in seeing the following statistics:
