looking for a way to stay in your home and access some of your equity?
CCCS provides Reverse Mortgage Counseling.
Behind in your rent or
mortgage? CCCS provides housing counseling to help you develop a
plan to bring your mortgage current.

Bankruptcy Counseling and
Education
If you are planning to file for bankruptcy you will be required
to participate in counseling and complete a financial education
program by an approved provider. CCCS of the Black Hills is approved
to provide bankruptcy counseling and education that fulfill these
requirements.
Approved to issue certificates
evidencing completion of a budget and credit counseling session
and of a personal financial management instructional
course in compliance with the Bankruptcy Code. Approval does
not endorse or assure the quality of a provider's services.
Education and
Skill Development
CCCS offers a wide variety of educational programs that will help
you make informed financial decisions and live better. For more

Family Financial Independence Program
Sometimes a small loan can make all the difference. CCC offers pre-qualifying
help to those who may need loans up to $500. This program is a partnership
with Black Hills Federal Credit Union. Income qualifying individuals
who have the ability to repay the loan may be able to get a loan
through the Black Hills Federal Credit Union.
Savings Match
This Individual Development Account Program gives a 2 to 1 savings match for qualifying low income individuals to use towards a home purchase, post-secondary education, or a small business. This program is available in Rapid City only.
Debt Management Plan
This is a financial repayment program designed to help qualifying individuals
gain concessions in fees and interest to help you repay your debt and
avoid bankruptcy.
CCCS/BH will help you:
- develop a Financial Action Plan
- contact all your creditors
- negotiate lower monthly payments & reduced or waived
finance charges
- consolidate bills into one easy monthly payment
To sign on to the Debt Management Program, there is a one-time
initial set-up fee ranging up to $75. However, no one
is denied service for their inability to pay. A small
monthly administrative fee ranging from $0 to $50 is charged
for this service.
